Parallel or Parallel-to-USB Cable Setup:
Parallel-to-USB Cable Users: Do not plug the USB end into the computer yet!!
- First, go to Start->Printers and Faxes, or Start->Settings->Printers and Faxes.
- Delete any existing Brother SC-2000 printers.
- Next, download the following file: StampCreatorDriverV5Parallel.exe
- Once that is downloaded, run the file and click "Install". A folder called 'StampCreatorDriverV5Parallel.exe' will appear on your desktop and the installer program will start automatically.
- If Uninstall is available, select Uninstall and go through the process and choose to restart when prompted.
- Choose Install and click next, then choose Parallel and click next, then click the dropdown and select LPT1: and click next.
- Continue clicking next until prompted to restart. Choose YES and click finish.
- Once Restarted, you should get a notice that Windows has found new hardware. Choose to not use windows update if it asks and leave all settings at the default.
- If you get a message about 'windows logo testing', click 'Continue anyway'.
- When complete the printer should be installed and ready to use.
Additional steps for Parallel-to-USB Cable users
- Once restarted, open printers and faxes, then delete the Brother SC-2000 Printer
- Connect the USB end to the PC. This will start the process to automatically install the printer using the correct USB_00# port number.
- The found new hardware wizard should appear, click next, then next again until finished
- The printer is now installed and configured to use the correct USB_00# port
