Shipper/Receiver                                                                     

Full-time: Monday to Friday 

Department: Shipping                                                                             

Report Timings: 9:30AM – 6PM 

Reports To:  Shipping/Receiving Supervisor  

Purpose of Position: 

  • Ensuring the efficient handling and movement of goods within our warehouse. 

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. 

Result Areas of the Position:  

  • Managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and coordinating with various departments to fulfill orders promptly. 

  • Proper processing, packaging, and labelling of inventory and customer orders.  

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to coordinate shipment schedules and priorities. 

  • Ensure compliance with regulations governing the handling and transportation of hazardous materials. 

  • Track and trace shipments and communicate with customers as required. 

  • Ensure all outgoing shipments are organized, meet quality standards and customer requirements. 

  • Generate shipping documents.  

  • Monthly inventory count.  

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred 

  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred. 

  • Working knowledge of PC environment and applications. 

  • Ability to lift, push and carry 25 to 50 pounds repeatedly. 

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.  

  • Good hand and eye coordination.  

  • Ability to work in a multi-tasked, fast paced multi-department environment.  

  • Reliable attendance. 

Activities and Tasks: 

  • Packaging and shipping orders. 

  • Previous Warehouse and Forklift Experience – Preferred. 

  • Single Source Shipping System. 

  • Business System Receiving & Shipping. 

  • Customs Processing. 

  • End of Day Processing. 

  • Recycling material handling. 

  • Maintain good departmental housekeeping according to Health & Safety guidelines.

Quality, Process & Improvement Technologist 

Full-time: Monday to Friday 

Department: Quality Planning & Engineering Department 

Report Timings: 8:30AM – 5 PM 

Reports To:  Quality Planning & Engineering Department  

Purpose of Position: 

  • Provide required support for QPED Department to update Sterling’s Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental Management System 

  • Monitor manufacturing processes to identify ways to reduce losses, decrease time requirements, improve quality and equipment maintenance. 

Result Areas of the Position:  

  • Implement ISO 9001 Quality Management Standards in Sterling Marking Products Inc. ISO 9001 Quality Manual.   

  • Update and maintain all forms related to Sterling’s work instructions, policies, procedures, Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Program including> MSDS, JHSC, WSIB, WHMIS, Waste and Quality Management Administration 

Qualifications: 

  • PC knowledge and experience in word processing, spreadsheets, and database management. 

  • Should have relevant Manufacturing / Quality / EH&S compliance  

Activities and Tasks: 

  • Ensure adherence to safety rules and practices 

  • Plan, estimate or schedule production work 

  • Recommend corrective or preventive actions to ensure or improve product quality or reliability 

  • Identify opportunities for improvements in quality, cost or efficiency of automation equipment 

  • Maintenance of factory production equipment 

  • Prepare quality Management System Reports from Quality records i.e. Reject Tags, Internal/External Audits, Non-Conformances 

  • Word processing of quality system documentation: policies and procedures, forms, and work instructions 

  • Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) revision and maintenance.  

  • Administrative requirements of Hazardous Material Storage, Handling, Containment, and Disposal 

  • Assist in design, evaluation and installation of new equipment  

  • Redesign existing equipment/processes/plant layout 

  • Assist research & development in the planning, design, set-up and conducting of tests 

  • Other office duties as assigned
