Shipper/Receiver – Assembly Essential

Full-time: Monday to Friday

Department: Shipping – Stock Program

Position Status: This job posting is for a current, existing vacancy.

Hourly Rate: $17.60/ hour

Reports To: Shipping/Receiving Supervisor

Purpose of Position:

· Ensuring the efficient handling and movement of goods within our warehouse.

· Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.

Result Areas of the Position:

· Managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and coordinating with various departments to fulfill orders promptly.

· Proper processing, packaging, and labelling of inventory and customer orders.

· Communicate effectively with internal teams to coordinate shipment schedules and priorities.

· Ensure compliance with regulations governing the handling and transportation of hazardous materials.

· Track and trace shipments and communicate with customers as required.

· Ensure all outgoing shipments are organized, meet quality standards and customer requirements.

· Generate shipping documents.

· Monthly inventory count.

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred

· Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.

· Working knowledge of PC environment and applications.

· Ability to lift, push and carry 25 to 50 pounds repeatedly.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Good hand and eye coordination.

· Ability to work in a multi-tasked, fast paced multi-department environment.

· Reliable attendance.

Activities and Tasks:

· Packaging and shipping orders.

· Previous Warehouse and Forklift Experience – Preferred.

· Single Source Shipping System.

· Business System Receiving & Shipping.

· Customs Processing.

· End of Day Processing.

· Recycling material handling.

· Maintain good departmental housekeeping according to Health & Safety guidelines.

Perform activities required by the ISO 9001 and Sterling Quality Management System
